So as not to disappoint Liz when I move to LA, I am going to get a head-start on updating my Xanga more often.  I thank you all for the encouraging & supportive comments you have posted.  They have meant more than you'll ever know, as it has been an emotional roller coaster type of week.  On top of telling everyone I was leaving, I have also been preparing for Tim to come home....Hallelujah!  He arrived in Colorado Springs at 11ish last night.  His mom flew out there to meet him, but I won't get to see him until the beginning of next week when he gets to come home for leave.  But praise the Lord for extended leave after a year-long deployment!

Hope you all have a great day!

I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you,

always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer,

because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. - Philippians 1:3-6

Those words are so true to me when I think about all of you from the BSU at NKU.  They make me smile to know that God is doing and will continue to do a mighty work in each of you individually and the group as a whole.  Unfortunately, I am writing because I will no longer be a part of that whole.  After much prayer and searching of Scripture, I now know that God is leading me away from Northern Kentucky to a new part of His journey from me.  Just last week I received a phone call from a church called Mosaic, in Los Angeles, offering me a position there as a ministry intern.  I will also be able to be discipled by their lead team and staff, much like many of you have been able to experience this summer.  It is going to be an amazing adventure, one that I know would be a life-long regret if I missed out on it.

I want each and everyone of you to know you are special to me in very unique and unforgetable ways.  If there was time to name you all by name I would.  I wish there was time to call and tell each of you individually instead of posting this news on Xanga, but with the summer being what it is there was no time.  I will be leaving at the end of Impact, and then coming up once more to celebrate the birthdays of Steph Dobbs and Tracy Roeding the weekend of August 12-14th...with Tim (he is leaving Iraq as I type this actually)!

If anyone has any questions (even if they are upset ones) and you just need to know things, please feel free to call me or email me.  Know that you are not an easy group to leave by any means, and I will look forward to seeing you all and hearing from you all as much as possible.

I love you so much, and I will pray for you on my every remembrance of you!

Until all have heard,

Carrie

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6)

Wow!  I must say I am exhausted, but it is all entirely my fault.  I stayed up all hours of the night this weekend to read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  I cried at the end....I'm not scared to admit it.  But at the end I had to ask myself why do I go through and read these books that I had to wait 2 years for so quickly when at the end I am going to have to wait another two years in suspense for the conclusion?  At least, I can find comfort in the fact that the fourth movie comes out this fall.

Wow, I am such a Harry Potter nerd....but I'm ok with that!  Have a great day all!

Well, our Ramblin' Road Trip is coming to an end tomorrow.  It was been an absolutely amazing week.  And tonight I am on super mega VBS high because I was able to share the gospel with two little girls tonight who committed their lives to follow Christ!!  People, it doesn't get any better than that.  And one of them had come for the first time tonight!  Isn't it cool how God arranges things just so....He brought her at the exact time she would hear all about Him, cultivated her heart to be ready to understand, and now she can live a lifetime with Jesus!!!  I think I'm going to cry all over again.
